Our research clinic was created for people with non-healing chronic wounds; the physicians and facilities that treat them; and the companies in the business to help. SerenaGroup® is recognized internationally for being at the forefront of wound healing research. Our large patient volume affords us the ability to conduct clinical trials for major pharmaceutical and device companies. Our research provides novel treatment to patients with chronic non-healing wounds.
Our clinical research trials are for non-healing chronic wound suffers of Venous Leg Ulcers or Diabetic Foot Ulcers. Your participation and treatment is FREE. No insurance authorization, payment, or referral is needed. Qualified participants may be compensated for time and travel. Must be at least 18 years old to qualify.

Vice President of Clinical Research
Clinical Research Coordinator
Laura has been conducting research with SerenaGroup since 2012 and a founding clinician of SerenaGroup Research. Laura has served as a wound care nurse, clinical research coordinator, and Vice President of Clinical Research. She is a certified wound and hyperbaric specialist. Laura attended Gannon University where she received a bachelors and masters in education and Pittsburgh Technical College where she obtained her associates degree in Nursing.

Kristy is a 2005 magna cum lade graduate from, California University of PA, with a bachelors in education. Kristy came to SerenaGroup in 2018, from a lengthy career as an educator and Positive Behavior Support Coach for a school district. She brings a unique skill set and lengthy experience to SerenaGroup, which aids in the coordination of clinical research trials, data management, and development. Kristy has assisted with over 10 clinical trials and is CITI certified.

Primary Investigators
D&P Medical Group was founded by Dr. Bryan Doner and Dr. Keyur Patel, who are extensively trained and credentialed in the fields of wound, hyperbaric and emergency medicine. D&P offers a multitude of services including clinical research, consulting/advisor relations, clinical provider coverage and education, product development and presentation, and medical expert/witness, to mention just a few. Their education, experience, and relationships with current industry leaders provide D&P Medical Group with an opportunity to provide unique and individualized services to all patients. They serve as the primary investigator for SerenaGroup clinical research trials.
